Family Stay Program:

Living a family is very important for our program.

It allows the student to get the feeling of daily Guatemalan life. You will have your own room three meals a day and the opportunity to continually practice what you have learned.

At PLSM we believe that the perfect complement to your lessons is to live with a Guatemalan family. That’s why we take care of finding a place for each student among a variety of selected families who offer a comfortable stay for you. All families are located within a short distance from the school ( 10-15 minutes’ walk). Families offer accommodation seven days a week, 21 meals per week from Monday to Saturday at very reasonable rate. Changes can be made if the student does not adapt to a certain family. Because of the cultural exchange and the experience of practicing the language in real situations, living with a family is highly recommended. If however, you prefer to stay in an apartments or a hotel we will take care of finding the best place for you, keeping your budget in mind.

To live with a local family costs US$60.00 per week, 21 meals, private room, hot shower are included except personal stuff like towel, toothpaste, etc.
