Founded in 1982 Proyecto Linguistico Santa Maria Spanish School is one of the most experienced Spanish schools in Quetzaltenango.

With over 18 years of teaching Spanish, Proyecto Linguistico Santa Maria has achieved a reputation as one of Guatemala´s best Spanish schools. Fully accredited through Universidad Rural de Guatemala.
Our theme communication, Fraternity and Solidarity without Frontiers, identifies us as a project based on principles of humanity and solidarity, with the objective of offering a complete and thorough learning experience to each of our students. The aim of all who work with PLSM is to ensure not only that you will be able to communicate effectively in Spanish by the end of your visit, but also that you will return to your country with a piece of Guatemala in your heart.
Because of our excellent curriculum and teachers, we are recognized by the Ministry of Education and INGUAT, the Office of Tourism in Guatemala. We are very proud to be one of the few schools to offer university credits to our students through La Universidad Rural de Guatemala. Additionally, we are a recommended school in the Lonely Planet Guide to Guatemala.
